About Lauren

Lauren Cross is a writer, educator, and avid reader from Indiana obsessed with Midwestern representation. She is currently working on a collection of essays about the Midwest, trauma, sexuality, and healing.

She graduated from Ball State University in 2017 with a degree in English and is now pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing in Tampa, FL. When she isn’t writing or researching, she teaches freshmen-level composition classes and Professional Writing. In addition to writing and teaching, she also edits nonfiction for the literary journal Sweet Lit.

When she isn’t working, you can find her visiting her favorite haunts: local beaches and coffee shops.
